Ostrich - A special tanning process allows these premium cowhides to accept embossing with more depth to produce a true Ostrich skin texture. After embossing, Ostrich is tipped with deep brown and receives a hand rubbed clear coat which adds durability and luster. Color will vary due to all color applications being done by hand. Hides average 50 square feet.

This distinctive ostrich pattern has a dramatic metallic color that adds a bit of pizzazz to any application. This full top-grain leather is tanned using a specific tanning process that is formulated to ensure the leather retains the decorative embossing deep into the surface of the leather. Embossed using a mold instead of a standard embossing plate, which allows the embossing to have a three dimensional look. The ostrich design is a traditional overall non-directional pattern, yet in the finishing process some embossing lines may become apparent and should not be treated as a defect. Layered with water-based finishes and glazes in order to give the leather its rich deep color. Color will vary due to all color applications being done by hand. A clear water based top coat is applied for protection. Like most pure aniline leathers prolonged exposure to light will cause them to fade.
