Colors is a high end full grain protected aniline that is dyed for color and then receives a layer of pigment to ensure color consistency. Without pigment a protected leather is not color consistent. The pigment also ensures fade resistance and helps the leather wear over time. A clear water based topcoat is applied for protection., which makes this leather great for high traffic areas and high-energy families. Since this is a full grain, the grain will vary from hide to hide, it is a more natural looking product that is instantly recognized as the high end beautiful natural product that it is. Expect natural characteristics such as healed scars, scratches, neck and belly wrinkles throughout the hides. Colors is made from premium Brahma material so also expect Brahma holes in about 30% of the hides. This leather meets and exceeds most contract, residential, and automotive specifications making it suitable for almost any application. These hides can be flame proofed to meet the FAR 25.853(a), App. F, Part 1(a)(l)(ii) for an additional charge. Hides average 50 - 55 square feet. We recommend the Protected Aniline kit for routine maintenance. The kit includes the Gentle Cleaner, Protected Conditioner and the Magic Ink Roller.
